Analyzing

So lately it seems kind of obvious that I've changed from a kid into a young man now. I think my ideas on the world are more refined and adult-like but they're still far from a 40 year old man's perspective. I find that I enjoy getting that Bob Marley vibe going pretty frequently these days.. I'd say about 5 times a week or more. It's been like a thing which helps me cut back on the drinking and I feel that it's allowed me to just do a lot of thinking that I seem to "never have time to do", but it's only because drinking/hangover takes up so much time/effort. Anyway, so I've been doing that a lot lately, but I've also been trying to get into a few different things. First, I joined the S&W, which is a publication on campus. That's pretty sweet.. so I'm either gonna do an ed/op (editorial/opinion) column where I just write my opinions about stuff or I'm gonna try a humorous column about whatever I'd like. Either one is pretty sweet to me, and I'd totally love doing it. Then, on top of the S&W thing, I also applied to be a member of the Student Union Executive Board. This board has only like 7 or so people on it who decide what happens to the $8million+ of Activity Fee payments. That could prove to be really impressive for a resume and may even provide a foothold if I decide to go into Investments or something. Also, I have been trying to improve my pool game lately. I don't really know why, but it's very soothing to me. It's like... the perfect game. As long as you can really get an understanding of physics, then you can be a terrific player. I probably will end up getting a pool table in my house when I'm older, so why not at least get the ability to play it now? Haha.

Today I happened to talk to my friend Kevin about going to India for a semester abroad, and the more I told him about what we could do, the more hyped I became. I was explaining to it that we could visit a fair amount of Northern India if we were to just stay with my family. We could go to Ludhiana, Punjab and visit my family there who have a really nice setup. My cousin Surbhi is still living there I think (college student), and it would be a nice time I think. Or, we could jet over to Haryana and visit my favorite town: Ambala Cantt. This place is amazing. I have so many cousins and get so much love whenever I go back that I cannot even imagine how I've gone almost 5 years without seeing them. It'll be nice to go back. I really miss everyone a great deal. Then, I told Kevin about one of the craziest things about India... that many NRIs end up owning houses in India. Like my dad! For a weekend we could probably go out to Dehradun (Uttranchal if you care) and stay in the 'Green Park house'. That would be amazing to have a place where we could do whatever. It could be even sweeter if we got a few people to go to India with us. It would be an amazing time seeing family and being with college friends. I am determined to make this idea happen. (Note to self: Find out how to go to India)

I hate staying up late, so I'll leave my thoughts there. Ironic that when I chose to stop writing, it was 4:20... Ironic.
